Carolina Football 1980 ACC Championship Uniform 2026 Jersey – A Championship Legacy Returns
The Carolina Football 1980 ACC Championship Uniform 2026 Jersey is a new throwback-style jersey for the North Carolina Tar Heels, added to the 2026 season collection to honor the squad that won the 1980 ACC Championship.
The design features the signature Carolina Blue hue, the word “CAROLINA” in white with navy trim across the chest, and a large number “1” on both the front and back. The V-neck cut, combined with the ACC logo and shoulder detailing, creates a minimalist yet bold look that captures the spirit of classic football uniforms.
Carolina Football 1980 ACC Championship Uniform 2026 Jersey: Honoring a Historic Season
North Carolina introduced this retro uniform to mark the 100th anniversary of Kenan Stadium, paying tribute to the 1980 Tar Heels team that achieved an impressive 11–1 record. That historic squad was led by head coach Dick Crum and featured legendary linebacker Lawrence Taylor.
Perfect for game day, this jersey is also an excellent choice for Tar Heels fans, enthusiasts of vintage college football style, and anyone looking to own a design linked to a significant milestone in Carolina Football history.
